Today I want to review an Etsy product designed for dogs, by HoneyVixens. Whenever I am looking for something unique my go-to place is Etsy. In the past I have purchased creams and salves made for dogs from the Natural Dog Company. My staple purchase from them was their Snout Smoother. Not only was it pricey ($17.95) and small (2 oz.), my dog at the time, Tagg, hated it. He would literally run from me when he saw me reach for the container.
With Dresden I wanted the same kind of organic product, but something a little more reasonably priced. Enter – Paw Butter: Nose Balm for Cracked, Dry, Irritated Noses and Paws. Handmade for Pets.
Per the etsy page: 100% organic,100% vegan paw butter. Watch as they are soothed and restored in no time. Made
with soothing aloe vera, shea and hazelnut oil (which has antiseptic properties).
- No Parabens
- No Phalates
- No Sulfates/SLS

- 100% natural
- 100% vegan
Best of all $7.00
Dresden has pretty rough booty paws (even for a dog with two torn ACLs that isn’t allowed to run about and play hard anymore).
The very minute I opened the scentless “paw butter.” Dresden went BONKERS!!! He stopped at nothing in an attempt to lick and eat, what I thought was imperceptibly odorless.
After what can only be described as an epic war to rival that of The Battle of the Five Armies, Dresden’s booty paws were well moisturized.
I really really like this stuff, he clearly loved it, and the price can’t be beat. It did a great job of smoothing all the cracked rough edges and made Dresden’s paws really soft. It was a little hard at first, but that is just the nature of these products. Warm it up a bit between your fingers and it will glide right on (provided you’re not being incessantly licked).
Shipping was about $6.00 which still puts it at a better price point ($13.00) than the Natural Dog Company’s Snout Smoother. Also, HoneyVixens has a lot of great stuff for us pet owners too! So, if you think $6.00 is a bit much for shipping I can personally recommend their handmade soaps. Two soaps and the paw butter will still put you right around $6.00 for shipping (depending on location, maybe a tad more).
Give this a shot for your hard playing pups, you won’t be disappointed.
